Who is attending?

Think about the people in your audience and characterise the group.

List all relevant subgroups separately.

Define the group/groups that will be in attendance.

Attendees

  • Example: Group of leaders from the same industry
  • Example: Mixed group of finance team and marketing team

Should you work with subgroups?

Sometimes your audience is not homogeneous and you face varying levels of knowledge, needs and motivations. In that case, I recommend identifying different subgroups within your audience. Maybe most importantly, you need to decide how you prioritise these subgroups and if you have different goals and calls-to-action for each subgroup.
